Omer Comeau’s Retirement
On Friday, October 31st, friends and family of Omer Comeau gathered at Agropur Division Natrel to celebrate his retirement and bid him adieu.
Omer has worked for Natrel for 45 loyal years, commencing his run in the cheese room in 1969 at the Dupont Street Silverwoods. He was transferred to the Don Mills plant in the mid-80s and took up numerous positions in the production room, and as Keyman, Filler 11 operator and General Labourer.
Following a few kind words from Teamsters Local 647’s Martin Cerqua and other management members, Omer took the stand to say goodbye to his co-workers and give them all a hearty chuckle in true Omer fashion. In attendance were his wife and daughter who hand delivered Omer a heartfelt card to go along with a number of other generous gifts, including a plasma TV from his fellow co-workers. After the gift-giving and reminiscing, attendees formed an assembly line to say farewell, and it is very apparent by the amazing turnout and high levels of enthusiasm that Omer will be missed.
Thank you Omer for your dedication and hard work over the past 45 years and good luck in in the future!
